Recommended Textbook: Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach by Stuart Russell and Peter Norvig. 3nd Edition. AIMA has a useful homepage:http://aima.cs.berkeley.edu/ This is the most popular book on AI and it gives an introduction to many other topics in AI that will be covered in the course. It is a good read and a good way to find out the basics of other aspects of AI.
